My beloved Masashi.  As I write this it has been exactly one year since I had to say goodbye to you.  You were my best friend and devoted companion for over 11 years.  Never have I felt and continue to feel such unbearable pain and sorrow. The bond and love you gave to me was far beyond that of anything human. I was so lucky and blessed to have been able to call you mine and to have had you in my life, you put the joy into every day and really were the most special of all dogs.  I wish you could know how having to say goodbye to you was the hardest decision I have ever had to make and is something now I must live with as I miss and mourn you each and every day.  If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.
